Naming rules
Modified By Alex Knezevic on 3/14/2008 2:09:05 PM)

I typically prepend the rule name with the rule's rank to make it easier to read (rules are displayed/sorted alphabetically)... Anyone else doing this?

Re: Naming rules

I would use an Area descriptor first, so rules that apply to a common area are grouped together, it is easy to see what else may have impact on the rule you are working on. The rank number is a good idea too, but it means you will need to change a rule name if you change a rank.

E.g. if you are building a car, you may have:

Interior_10_AvailableFabricTypes
Interior_20_AvailableColors

Engine_10_FuelType
Engine_20_Capacity
